Lactation Bircher Muesli
Posted on December 15 2020
Bircher muesli is the Swiss version of overnight oats, usually containing more fruit, nuts and seeds. During the Summer months this goes down an absolute treat! Its nourishing, refreshing and keeps you feeling full. Bonus that it will also help bring in that precious milk! This recipe is my own take on the traditional Bircher Muesli but you can change it up to however you like it.
Makes 3-4 servings.
Ingredients
1 Cup Rolled Oats
1 1/2 Cup Milk of choice
1/2 Cup Yoghurt of choice. I used Coconut Yogurt
2 Big Tbsp Berry Lactation Blend
1 Grated Apple, skin on
1 Grated Pear, skin on
5 Chopped Grapes (these add wonderful sweetness)
5 Chopped Strawberries
Method:
1. Add Oats, milk, yoghurt and lactation blend into a medium sized mixing bowl and stir well to combine.
2. Add in the grated apple, pear and chopped fruit and fold into the oats
3. Cover and refrigerate for at a least 2 hours to allow to set.
Note: You could add in more berries if you wish! Any berry would go beautifully in this recipe
